A few years back, I watched the movie “Monsieur Vincent”. The film won “Best Foreign Language Film (Oscars)” in 1948. It is the story of St. Vincent de Paul, also known as Pierre Fresnay. Assigned at Chantillon, France, he came to his parish finding it deserted. In the 16th century, the feudal lords had the […]
Today is the feast of St. Cosmas and Damian, medical physicians in the early centuries who offered their services for free for the Kingdom of God.

The Joyful Hope Ministries is a community of faithful Christians who pray daily for the protection and healing of their families and the families of the Joyful Hope Ministries.
Joyful Hope Ministry intends to respond to the call of Pope Francis.
I see clearly,” the pope continues, “that the thing the church needs most today is the ability to heal wounds and to warm the hearts of the faithful; it needs nearness, proximity. I see the church as a field hospital after battle. It is useless to ask a seriously injured person if he has high cholesterol and about the level of his blood sugars! You have to heal his wounds. Then we can talk about everything else. Heal the wounds, heal the wounds…. And you have to start from the ground up.
The membership is shown by the initial act of faith to accept a Cross of St. Benedict or support the Society’s mission, a sacred sign of the Church’s power of petition through this sacramental. (Canon Law 1166).
The main mission of the Joyful Hope Ministries is to promote the faith necessary to obtain miracles of healing in our families through the power of the Cross. Your membership will be a journey of deliberate attempts to put your faith into action.
As a member, your journey to heaven will be supported by a spiritual community of faithful individuals who unite their prayers with yours.
It is our hope that in moments of adversities and crisis, the Joyful Hope Ministries members will rise up and help each other to have faith and trust in the provisions and will of the Heavenly Father.
Any form of fervent prayer united to the Joyful Hope Ministries is very powerful.
As founders of the society, we consecrated our family to the Blessed Mother to pray for the healing of the families of the Joyful Hope by including the intentions of the members in our daily prayer life which consists of praying the Liturgy of the Hours (Morning Lauds, Mid-day, Vespers, Compline), Holy Mass, Rosary, Chaplet of Divine Mercy, and Adoration. In addition to this, we made a solemn promise to live the Benedictine spirituality as Oblates of the Benedictines under the Benedictines of Mary, Queen of Peace. We believe that the graces to pray seven times a day are due to the mission entrusted to us, that is, to pray for the protection and healing of families.
We asked our members to say a simple fervent prayer similar to the following:
“We pray for the healing of our family, the families of the Joyful Hope Ministries, and all the families in the world.”
To date, we have over 1,000 Cross of St. Benedict sacramentals accepted by families and over a thousand specific prayer intentions that we offer weekly to our Lord.
Each of our members had made “acts of faith” to support the ministry that God has entrusted to us. In turn, generous amount of our proceeds go to our monastery and parish and the remaining to cover the cost of the products and our evangelization efforts across Northern America.
No one can pay the full price of our redemption, Jesus only asks what you can give today from the gifts he had provided. This is the essence of the ministry – it requres two “acts of faith“: one from your side that God will provide the means for you to get this cross and the second faith is on our side, that whether you can or not support us at the moment, God will provide for us. Our mission is to just keep presenting the cross and to keep testifying.
Yes. It is.
The unseen attack on families is worse than the prevailing evils in the world right now. But, the plan of the devil is subtle, quiet and unnoticeable.
The devil is aggressive to destroy the family; dividing its members against each other. It means the following: husbands against wives, children against parents, siblings against each other.
We have a society of disconnected families. Thus, it becomes difficult to stand with one another on important issues of the Catholic faith in the prevailing times. We are paralyzed to do anything because of the woundedness in our families. We are busy putting fires in our family life from external forces as well attacks from within. The spiritual attacks of the devil present a reality beyond us. It is time to use the powerful weapons in the Church’s treasure box and understand how faith plays an important role.
To fight the attacks of the devil is to bring back love to the family. One way to love your family members far away from you is to unite your prayers with the Joyful Hope Ministries and do “acts of faith.” The devil hates unity so it tries to divide any community or sense of family life. The devil hates faith, so it will try to give you the lie that your prayers are not working so you will lose your peace.
“Your faith has saved you, Go in peace and be cured of your affliction.” ( Mark 5:34)
I ordered this heart for a dear friend of mine. It came in a beautiful little box. The heart was just beautiful. I asked for the special blessing to be prayed over it for my friend to help her in her work environment. Knowing this was made just for her made it most special to me. It also had a scripture passage rolled up with a ribbon that was perfect for her. It has blessed salt in the box also. The blessing over it and the fact that a partial indulgence if given when kissed makes it a very meaningful Sacramental. I will be ordering more for sure in the future. Wonderful to have in ones pocket knowing Our Lady Undoer of Knots is walking with us and and helping us. Thank you so much Patrick! My friend loved this! - Rosemarie
Beautiful work in this table top edition of the St. Benedict Cross. It is easy to remove from the solid wood base for use in prayer. Thank for your careful attention to detail in the making of this cross and for your ministry to families, Patrick and Joy! - Claudia
This crucifix is beautiful. Rich mahogany and a gold corpus. Well worth the money. A wonderful piece that will last forever. - Brad Schueneman
