I planned for our itinerary for our road trip to California for 3 days. I was just glued to the computer researching on campground, travel timings, priority to visit, where to stop, the state parks. I paid in advance the campgrounds. I researched the reviews.
When we begun our trip, we had no idea that we will following God’s itinerary and not ours.
And, this is the start of our journey. To surrender our plans to God’s plan in this road trip to California. To trust that He has our best interest at hand. To have faith that He will provide when our funds are dwindling dramatically because of unexpected costs. To be happy with the little twists along the way. To be grateful that our children are peaceful in this long, exhausting time on the road.
Our Lord wants me to surrender on what I think is fun and to re-channel everything, as in everything, to His plan.
I cringe, the faith that is required of this is beyond me.
During this moment of “lack of faith”, my husband shines with his faith. Patrick helps me see His hands in all this.
As we record our God moments in this trip, it is now Day 6 and all we can say is “wow”.
